After a short hiatus, Villa Lounge has gone through a complete renovation with a new look and feel. The concept was a giant house party in a millionaire's manison with oversized sofas and a large built-in bookcase with fireplace to boot. State of the art lighting and a brand new sound system was installed to the entirely new decor. The second floor features private VIP red rooms which have removable upholstered panels for larger parties. The bathroom, stairwell, and ceiling are cladded with bronze mirror and both the upstairs and downstairs bars are button tufted in velour.
On a request to recreate their exisiting look, Mateo and Bay matched all exisiting materials and finishes to replicate an additional location within New York City. All fabrication was performed in downtown Los Angeles and shipped direct to the job site.
This custom check stand was engineered by Mateo and Bay for stregthen and stability. The designers provided the intial concept sketches but a 3D model and mockup was necessary to insure the check stand would not tip over. Custom stainless steel paper trays were inset into the top while the wrap around white base concealed all power cables inside.
